The eagerly anticipated Fire Versus Ice release for EA FC 24 has finally arrived, showcasing a stellar lineup of player cards! In this article, we will delve into a detailed analysis of each player’s in-game stats, providing a thorough breakdown in understanding the pros and cons of each card.

Fire Versus Team Review

Neymar Jr – 93:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/5*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Trickster (+), Incisive Pass, Technical, Flair, First Touch, Quick Step, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Amazing card! Great in-game stats and very nice playstyles, and it’s Neymar, so expect him to be a very expensive player.

Rating: 10/10

Heung Min Son – 90:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/5*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Finesse Shot (+), Power Shot, Technical,Rapid, Press Proven, Quick Step

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Yet another great card, however no boost to his SM in either version. Balance and agility is average, but other than that, absolutely insane.

Rating: 10/10

Marta – 89:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Trickster (+), Technical, Flair, First Touch, Trivela, Acrobatic

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Overall a good card, however I was expecting a bit more pace from this version. Other than that, amazing in-game stats all around, and decent Playstyles to go alongside it.

Rating: 9/10

(SBC) Raheem Sterling – 88:

Cost: ~510k

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/5*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Power Shot (+), Chip Shot, Rapid, First Touch, Acrobatic

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

I personally completed this version and I was not disappointed whatsoever. His dribbling is clinical, and finishing is just top-tier. Passing is a bit “meh” depending on the position you play him at, but as a striker, he’s just phenomenal. If you have the fodder to complete him, I highly recommend to do him.

Rating: 10/10

Sergio Ramos – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/3*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Bruiser (+), Power Header, Long Ball Pass, Anticipate, Slide Tackle, Aerial

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

This card looks like such a beast. 4* SM, great defending and passing Playstyles, and top-tier in-game stats for a CB. No downside to this version whatsoever.

Rating: 10/10

Lukas Hradecky – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Footwork, Cross Claimer

Preferred Chem Style: Glove

I personally don’t understand the Fire Versus Ice version for GKs unless EA changes their position to really play on the pitch, but nonetheless, they’re here. As with all GK’s, they either do well for you or is flat-out horrible, no in between, so try Hradecky out and see if how he performs for you.

Rating: GK/10

Kieran Trippier – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Whipped Pass (+), Dead Ball, Long Ball Pass, Slide Tackle, Long Throw

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Whipped Pass for this card is such a huge plus. That in addition to his insane passing is going to make this version of Trippier a deadly defender. Aside from that, his in-game stats are all amazing, no downsides. Great card for an amazing player.

Rating: 10/10

Roberto Firmino – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/4*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Incisive Pass (+), Technical, Flair, First Touch, Quick Step

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Dribbling is immaculate, Incisive Pass+ is a W, and finishing is pretty good. Other than that, the card’s pretty average – No stats that really stand out and make this card top-tier.

Rating: 8/10

Eduardo Camavinga- 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/3*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Aerial (+), Long Ball Pass, Technical, Flair, Press Proven, Jockey, Block, Bruiser

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

The amount of Playstyles this version has is crazy, and for a fullback, they’re pretty useful. Looking at his in-game stats, very good all around and with the right chem style, preferably shadow, this card becomes insane.

Rating: 10/10

Morata – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Power Shot (+), Finesse Shot, Power Header, Rapid, First Touch

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Love the SM boost, but it’s unfortunate, ’cause this card is pretty average. Decent dribbling aside from agility and balance, and okay shooting. Great Playstyles for a Striker as well, but other than that, it’s not that good.

Rating: 6/10

Dayot Upamecano – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Block (+), Pinged Pass, Intercept, Bruiser

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Love the position change for this version, gives players who run Bundesliga teams more options. Looking closely at his in-game stats, his short and long passing are completely maxed, which is outrageous. Defending and dribbling’s great for a fullback, and physicals are unbelievable aside from stamina. Overall, this card is insane.

Rating: 9/10

Marco Asensio – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/3*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Finesse Shot (+), Incisive Pass, Whipped Pass, Technical, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Another average card, and it hurts me to say that ’cause I love Asensio as a player. His shooting and dribbling is very average, and his passing isn’t as high as expected. 5* SM is amazing, however, and if you’re looking for a fun card to try out, I’d suggest to give him a go.

Rating: 7/10

Dani Olmo – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Tiki Taka (+), Incisive Pass, Pinged Pass, Technical, Flair, First Touch, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

I love this version’s passing and dribbling since it complients the Playstyles he possesses, but as a CAM, it’s just not good enough at the current game cycle. His shooting and pace are poor, and physicals are below average. Not a viable card if you ask me.

Rating: 6/10

Armand Lauriente – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Rapid (+),Dead Ball, Incisive Pass, Technical, Flair, Trickster, Relentless, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

I personally think this card’s good. Yeah, agility and long passing is lackluster, but with 99 stamina and great shooting stats in the right areas, he looks to be decent and another fun card to test out!

Rating: 8/10

Moussa Sissoko – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Bruiser (+), Tiki Taka, Press Proven, Intercept

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

If you’ve played the past 3 FIFAs, then you’ll know how good Sissoko was when he received a promo card. I expect this version to have the same effect. Amazing defending and physicality, as well as good passing in the needed areas. Pace split is a bit weird, but regardless, it’s in the 80s, and on top of that, some good playstyles for a CDM. Overall, good version.

Rating: 9/10

Leonardo Spinazzola – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Rapid (+), Whipped Pass, Jockey, Quick Step, Relentless

Preferred Chem Style: Anchor

Right off the bat, pace and dribbling is pretty good for a fullback, but defending, passing, and physicals are very average. This version has some good Playstyles, but it doesn’t make up for his in-game stats, which are pretty drastic.

Rating: 6/10

Ice Versus Team Review

Neymar Jr – 93:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/5*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Flair (+), Incisive Pass, Technical, Trickster, First Touch, Quick Step, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Compared to his Fire version, I’d prefer the Fire over this one simply because of the shooting. However, that’s just personal preference. Either way, both versions are insane.

Rating: 10/10

Heung Min Son – 90:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/5*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Technical (+), Power Shot, Finesse Shot, Rapid, Press Proven, Quick Step

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Comparing this to the Fire version, Fire is more superior due to having Finesse Shot+ and more pace/shooting. However, if you want to play Son purely as a winger, then this card’s definitely for you with its increased passing and dribbling.

Rating: 10/10

Marta – 89:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Trivela (+), Technical, Flair, First Touch, Trickster, Acrobatic

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

This card has the ability to play different positions compared to the Fire, which gives this version more versatility on the pitch. If you don’t mind the 81 pace, her in-game stats are amazing, but not as good as the Fire version. I’d personally go for the Fire card, but once again, it’s personal preference. Both cards are great in their own way.

Rating: 9/10

(SBC) Raheem Sterling – 88:

Cost: ~510k

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Trickster (+), Technical, Rapid, Flair, First Touch

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

If you’re a skiller, then you’re going to love this card. 5* SM combined with Trickster+ is a deadly combo. However, the trade-off with this one compared to the Fire version is its playstyles and shooting, which makes the latter exponentially better. But once again, it’s preference.

Rating: 10/10

Sergio Ramos – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Anticipate (+), Power Header, Long Ball Pass, Bruiser, Slide Tackle, Aerial

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Similar response to what I stated about his Fire version: This card looks like such a beast. The tradeoff is 3* skill moves, more passing and dribbling, but less physicality. Not only that, but this version has Anticipate+, which is crucial for a defender. Overall, this version is a whole lot better.

Rating: 10/10

Lukas Hradecky – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Footwork, Cross Claimer

Preferred Chem Style: Glove

Similar view with what I said previously about the Fire version – GK cards are either amazing for you or horrible, no in between. It all comes down to testing the card out.

Rating: GK/10

Kieran Trippier – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Long Ball Pass (+), Dead Ball, Whipped Pass, Slide Tackle, Long Throw

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Great passing midfielder! Top-tier passing and defending, 96 stamina, and good dribbling aside from agility. This is the first player where I can safely say that both cards are equally as good.

Rating: 10/10

Roberto Firmino – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/4*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: First Touch (+), Technical, Flair, Incisive Pass, Quick Step

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

As a Striker, this card is pretty good. Average pace, decent shooting and physicals, and great dribbling. It’s unfortunate that this version lost Incisive Pass+, since First Touch+ isn’t that good of a Playstyle, but nonetheless, it’s a nice, fun card.

Rating: 7/10

Eduardo Camavinga- 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/3*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Press Proven (+), Long Ball Pass, Technical, Flair, Aerial, Jockey, Block, Bruiser

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Both versions have a crazy amount of Playstyles, but because the Ice version has the CM/CDM position rather than playing at fullback, some of those Playstyles won’t go to waste. In addition to that, it has some really nice in-game stats for a box-to-box. No doubt about it – This version’s a whole lot better.

Rating: 10/10

Morata – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Power Header (+), Finesse Shot, Power Shot, Rapid, First Touch

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

This card may have better shooting and dribblning, but it’s still pretty average. Similar to what I said about the Fire version: “Decent dribbling aside from agility and balance, and okay shooting. Great Playstyles for a Striker as well, but other than that, it’s not that good.”

Rating: 6/10

Dayot Upamecano – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Intercept (+), Pinged Pass, Block, Bruiser

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

This is a cracking CB. Immaculate pace and defending, insane physicals besides stamina, which was similar to the Fire version, and good passing for a defender. You can debate which version’s better since they both have their pros and cons, but personally, the Fire version is better due to its insane passing and dribbling increase.

Rating: 9/10

Marco Asensio – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Technical (+), Incisive Pass, Whipped Pass, Finesse Shot, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Although this card may have 4* WF and increased passing and dribbling, it’s not that good compared to the Fire version. It’s a solid option for the CAM position, but the agility/balance as well as the pace kills this card.

Rating: 7/10

Dani Olmo – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Pinged Pass (+), Incisive Pass, Tiki Taka, Technical, Flair, First Touch, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

This version has less pace, but stat increases in shooting, passing, and dribbling. Either way, both cards are still prety average.

Rating: 6/10

Armand Lauriente – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Technical (+), Dead Ball, Incisive Pass, Rapid, Flair, Trickster, Relentless, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

This card has more versatility with the Striker position being available, but other than that, it has less pace and dribbling compared to the Fire version. I think both are going to be very fun if you’re willing to test them out regardless of their in-game stats.

Rating: 8/10

Moussa Sissoko – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Press Proven (+), Tiki Taka, Bruiser, Intercept

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Similar to my previous review: “If you’ve played the past 3 FIFAs, then you’ll know how good Sissoko was when he received a promo card. I expect this version to have the same effect. Amazing defending and physicality, as well as good passing in the needed areas. Pace split is a bit weird, but regardless, it’s in the 80s, and on top of that, some good playstyles for a CDM. Overall, good version.”

Rating: 9/10

Leonardo Spinazzola – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/5*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Jockey (+), Whipped Pass, Rapid, Quick Step, Relentless

Preferred Chem Style: Anchor

This version has way more defending and passing, but less dribbling and passing. If you prefer a fullback who has the ability to thread the needle and move around the pitch in a fluid manner, then the Fire version’s the way to go. If you prefer a more defensive-minded fullback, then the Ice version’s ideal for you. Both cards are both average, but if you’re a Roma fan, then you’re going to love either card.
