EA FC 24 – Radioactive Team Review
EA FC 24 has dropped a brand new promo this week with some exciting players added to the lineup! As always, we will breakdown each card’s in-game stats and rate it based on cost, usability, and how fun of a card it is!
Radioactive Team Review
Karim Benzema – 92:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*
Work Rate: Medium/Medium
Playstyles: Finesse Shot (+), Dead Ball, Incisive Pass, Tiki Taka, First Touch, Relentless, Trivela
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
Benzema’s card looks to be a great player at the 9 position purely for banging goals. He provides all the capabilities a Striker needs; perfect shooting and dribbling, great passing and pace, and good physical. Agility and balance can be an issue if you’re attempting to dribble and turn past opponents, but other than that, solid upgrade on Benzema.
Rating: 10/10
Lionel Messi – 92:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*
Work Rate: Low/Low
Playstyles: Technical (+), Finesse Sho, Dead Ball, Incisive Pass, Tiki Taka, Quick Step, Trivela
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
Messi is Messi. No one can top him due to his body type and the way he plays in-game. The only downside to this card is the work rates, but if you’re using those L1 triggers as leverage, then there’s no need to worry.
Rating: 10/10
Sam Kerr – 91:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*
Work Rate: High/High
Playstyles: Rapid (+), Finesse Shot, Rapid, Power Header, Quick Step, Acrobatic, Aerial
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
Great upgrade for Kerr, +1’s and +2’s across the board. Because of Kerr’s height and how tall defenders are in-game, my only issue with her is how easy it is to body her, but if you’re a technical player and find it easy to get past defenders, then this card’s for you.
Rating: 9/10
Federico Valverde – 90:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*
Work Rate: High/High
Playstyles: Relentless (+), Power Shot, Long Ball Pass, Rapid, Trivela
Preferred Chem Style: Shadow
All of Valverde’s cards this year have been amazing, and I expect this Radioactive version to be even better. Gullit Gang stats, insane pace for a defender, and great Playstyles to complement how he is in-game! Immaculate card.
Rating: 9/10
Ngolo Kante – 89:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 2*/3*
Work Rate: Medium/High
Playstyles: Anticipate (+), Long Ball Pass, Intercept, Relentless
Preferred Chem Style: Shadow
Oh my, what a card. He has insane defending and physical, great dribbling for a DM, new Playstyles that fit his position, and great pace. Don’t let his pace fool you – Because of his body type and height, he’ll feel a lot faster on the pitch! Not only that, but because Radioactive cards receive 2 chem without any links, he’ll be a great fit regardless of the league you’re running!
Rating: 8/10
(SBC) Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 88:
Cost: ~101k
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*
Work Rate: HIgh/Low
Playstyles: Rapid (+), Finesse Shot, Chip Shot, Flair, Trivela
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
This is such a crazy card, and with the SBC costing around 101k at the time of writing this article, it’s definitely worth completing. Great pace and shooting, beautiful dribbling (aside from balance), decent physicals, and good Playstyles for a pure Striker. If you’re running a Ligue 1 team, he’s definitely a must.
Rating: 9/10
Ronald Araujo – 88:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 2*/3*
Work Rate: Medium/High
Playstyles: Aerial (+), Power Header, Jockey, Block, Anticipate, Slide Tackle, Acrobatic
Preferred Chem Style: Shadow
Araujo has been such a club legend for me. Just to give you a bit of context on how amazing he is – He starts over Van Dijk and Rio Ferdinand. Of course, my opinion is subjective, but after the release of his Radioactive version, your perspective on him will definitely change the way you see him in-game. Araujo has insane pace, defending and physical, as well as a majority of the defending Playstyles. What more could you ask for?
Rating: 9/10
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia – 88:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/5*
Work Rate: Medium/Medium
Playstyles: Trickster (+), Finesse Shot, Incisive Pass, Whipped Pass, Technical, Flair, Trivela
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
I am in love with this card. Not just because of his 5*/5*, but because of how huge of an upgrade his received. Perfect pace and dribbling, and amazing shooting and passing. Physicals are great enough for a winger, and in addition to his Playstyles, having him play on the wing is going to be a major threat to your opponent. If you’re running a Serie A squad, you’ll be buzzing with this card.
Rating: 10/10
Nani – 88:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/5*
Work Rate: Medium/Low
Playstyles: Technical (+), Flair, Quick Step, Trivela
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
Nani’s back as a promo card yet again, and is a useable one as well! Great pace and shooting, perfect dribbling, and decent passing. 4*/5* and with the addition of Technical+, Nani’s going to be insane on the field. If you manage to pick him up, try him out for a test run! He’s definitely a fun card to play with.
Rating: 9/10
Asisat Oshoala – 87:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*
Work Rate: High/Medium
Playstyles: Acrobatic (+), Power Shot, Rapid, Quick Step, Trivela
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
Overall, great card! Only downside is her height, but other than that, she looks great purely as a Striker. Amazing pace and shooting, great dribbling, and good Playstyles to go along with it.
Rating: 8/10
Christian Eriksen – 87:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/5*
Work Rate: Medium/Medium
Playstyles: Incisive Pass (+), Dead Ball, Long Ball Pass, Whipped Pass, Flair
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
Similar to Szoboslai, playing him solely as a CAM is the ideal choice for Eriksen. 4*/5*, amazing dribbling and passing as well as decent pace and shooting, and the perfect Playstyles for a midfielder. This version of Eriksen seems a bit underwhelming, but nonetheless, Manchester United fans are going to be head over heels for this card.
Rating: 7/10
Noussair Mazraoui – 87:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*
Work Rate: High/Low
Playstyles: Jockey (+), Technical, Flair, Slide Tackle
Preferred Chem Style: Shadow
Yet another top-tier Bundesliga RB! The difference with this version of Mazraoui compared to the other RB’s in the Bundesliga is his Playstyles in conjunction with perfect dribbling and good defensive stats in the right areas. Overall, he’s going to be an amazing pacey fullback and someone you’d want to run up and down the field with.
Rating: 10/10
Franck Kessie- 86:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3/4*
Work Rate: High/High
Playstyles: Power Shot, Press Proven, Relentless
Preferred Chem Style: Shadow
Yet another DM from this promo, and I’m loving it. I’ve been waiting for a Kessie card to drop, and now that it’s come, I am pleasantly surprised by his in-game stats. Amazing defense and physical, great dribbling and pace, good Playstyles. What more can you ask for? Again, because it’s a Radioactive card, he’ll gain 2 chem on your team without any links alongside him, which promotes EA FC players to diversify their squad.
Rating: 9/10
Wilfried Zaha – 86:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/3*
Work Rate: High/High
Playstyles: Quick Step (+), Technical, Flair
Preferred Chem Style: Deadeye
Another amazing card, wow. Perfect pace, immaculate dribbling, and great shooting and passing. Only downside I see is his weak foot, but other than that, there is nothing that kills this version of Zaha.
Rating: 9/10
Dominik Szoboslai – 86:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*
Work Rate: Medium/Medium
Playstyles: Trivela (+), Power Shot, Dead Ball, Whipped Pass, Technical, Flair
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
This version of Szoboslai is very well-rounded. Great in-game stats for a CAM, and good Playstyles to go along with it. I’m expecting him to feel smooth on the ball and just an overall menace to deal with on the pitch.
Rating: 9/10
Josko Gvardiol – 86:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*
Work Rate: High/High
Playstyles: Block (+), Power Header, Pinged Pass, Long Ball Pass, Jockey
Preferred Chem Style: Shadow
This card looks perfect as an 86-rated CB. However, for the players who completed his Evo, don’t fret. He’s as good as his Evo card which was free, but the stats on this version are a bit better. Amazing defense and physical stats, and in addition to a couple of new Playstyles, he’s going to be a huge threat defensively.
Rating: 8/10
Oleksandr Zinchenko – 86:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*
Work Rate: High/Medium
Playstyles: Quick Step (+), Pinged Pass, Flair, Aerial
Preferred Chem Style: Shadow
What an upgrade for Zinchenko! He looks amazing as a PL wing option. Top-tier pace, defending, and passing. My only issue is his strength as a fullback, but otherwise, this looks to be a good card!
Rating: 8/10
(OBJ) Eric Bailly – 85:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*
Work Rate: Medium/Medium
Playstyles: Block (+), Pinged Pass, Slide Tackle, Bruiser
Preferred Chem Style: Shadow
Another card from the Super Lig who perfect links with Zaha’s Radioactive version. Not just that, but he’s free! Looking at his in-game stats, defending and physicals are insane apart from stamina, and passing is decent for a CB. If you don’t plan on adding him onto your lineup, then best-case scenario is he’s 85-rated fodder for you!
Rating: 8/10
Carlos Vela – 85:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/3*
Work Rate: High/Low
Playstyles: Finesse Shot (+), Dead Ball, Incisive Pass, Whipped Pass, Technical, Flair, Trivela
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
Decent upgrade for Vela. Great stats for a winger, and having numerous Playstyles makes this card even more dangerous. He might be cheap on the market, but if you pack him, give him a test run, and I can assure you: You won’t be disappointed.
Rating: 8/10
Teemu Pukki – 85:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*
Work Rate: High/High
Playstyles: Finesse Shot, Incisive Pass, First Touch
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
I was expecting a bit more from this card, as he is a bit average. Good shooting and passing, and dribbling’s not bad either, it’s just that the lack of Playstyles and having 3* skill moves is a major downside for Pukki. However, if you aren’t a skiller, then he is a good option to play at the Striker position.
Rating: 7/10
Xherdan Shaqiri – 85:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/4*
Work Rate: High/Low
Playstyles: Pinged Pass, Flair, Trivela
Preferred Chem Style: Hunter
Aside from having 5*/4*, this card is also pretty average. There’s nothing outstanding to point out, since his in-game stats are okay, not great. If you’re a fan of Shaqiri or are running an MLS team, then by all means, go for him. Otherwise, he’s not worth picking up.
Rating: 6/10
Timothy Weah – 85:
Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*
Work Rate: Medium/Medium
Playstyles: Flair, Quick Step, Trivela
Preferred Chem Style: Shadow
Nothing to write home about with this card. He has the versatility to play multiple positions on the pitch, but similar with Pukki and Shaqiri, his in-game stats are just not good enough at the current game cycle.
Rating: 6/10
