Trailblazers Team 2 Review

Harry Kane – 92:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/5*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Power Shot (+), Incisive Pass, Long Ball Pass, First Touch, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hawk

Automatic goals with this Kane. Perfect stats where needed and has some good Playstyles for a Striker. 3* SM and low Pace is always a downside, but if you’re someone who prefers playing Tiki-Taka and keeping it simple, then this is the card for you.

Rating: 10/10

Heung Min Son – 89:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/5*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Rapid (+), Finesse Shot, Technical, Press Proven

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

He may not have the Finesse Shot+ anymore, which is what made Son such a beast this year, but what his other versions don’t have are 2 additional playstyles: Technical and Press Proven. Having that in combination with Rapid+ will make him feel so smooth and silky on the ball, and just be outstanding anywhere on the pitch!

Rating: 10/10

Sophia Smith – 89:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/5*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Relentless (+), Technical, Flair, First Touch, Trickster, Quick Step

Preferred Chem Style: Finisher

Women in this year’s game cycle have been phenomenal, and this card is taking that statement a step further. Insane stats for a Striker, and with Relentless+, she’ll be running up and down the pitch for the whole 90 minutes! Top-tier card if you’re able to link her.

Rating: 10/10

Cristiano Ronaldo – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/4*

Work Rate: High/Low

Playstyles: Trivela (+), Power Shot, Power Header, Incisive Pass, Flair, Acrobatic, Aerial

Preferred Chem Style: Engine

Ronaldo’s yearly promo card is back and better than ever! Such a massive pace upgrade compared to his gold card, and with the amount of Playstyles he has, this Trailblazers version is absolutely perfect! Great pace and dribbling, and insane shooting for a Striker, just what you want from the GOAT himself.

Rating: 10/10

Joao Cancelo – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Low

Playstyles: Technical (+), Whipped Pass, Block, Flair, First Touch, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Anchor

The versatility this card has with the ability to play both fullback and wingback positions gives you so many options on how to fit him onto your team. And with the Technical+, this card is going to be a dribbling beast on the wing.

Rating: 10/10

Marquinhos – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*

Work Rate: High/Low

Playstyles: Anticipate (+), Power Header, Jockey, Intercept, Aerial

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

I already know this card’s going to be expensive due to the Anticipate+, which is one of, if not, the best defensive Playstyles a CB can have. Combining that with the numerous other Playstyles he received and perfect stats, he’s going to be someone to look out for on the field.

Rating: 10/10

Andrew Robertson – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/2*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Rapid (+), Pinged Pass, Whipped Pass, Relentless

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

This is such a well-rounded card. If you don’t care about WF, you definitely need to get Robertson in your team. He has everything you want from a Premier League LB: The defensive capabilities, 99 stamina, pacey to run up and down the wing, etc. In my honest opinion, judging from face stats, this version of him is a top 3 wingback in the Premier League.

Rating: 10/10

Rafael Leao – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/Low

Playstyles: Finesse Shot (+), Pinged Pass, Technical, Rapid, Flair, Quick Step

Preferred Chem Style: Finisher

He barely received an upgrade in terms of stats compared to his POTM, but what really makes this card amazing is the Finesse Shot+ and Technical. Tall players usually feel like a truck when it comes to turning, but Leao’s going to be the exact opposite. Great agility and balance with great pace, and decent shooting makes for a dangerous winger.

Rating: 9/10

(SBC) Julian Alvarez – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Relentless (+), Incisive Pass, Flair, Press Proven

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

The SBC requires you to complete 5 challenges to obtain to this card. I personally don’t think it’s worth it unless you’re clubstocked with fodder, but even then I think you should be saving those for future SBCs. This card is great, but there’s nothing standing out that puts him on that top-tier strikers list. If you’re a fan of City or just like him as a player, then go for it! Otherwise, I’d save my fodder.

Rating: 7/10

James Ward-Prowse – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Incisive Pass (+), Dead Ball, Pinged Pass, Long Ball Pass, Whipped Pass, Relentless

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter for CAM, Shadow for CM/DM

What a spectaular midfielder this card is. Incisive Pass for the precise through-balls, Dead Ball for the free kicks, and Relentless with the ability to just run from box to box without getting tired. Whichever position you play him at, be it attacking or defensive, he’ll get the job done no matter where on the pitch. Cracking card.

Rating: 10/10

Julian Brandt – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Incisive Pass (+), Finesse Shot, Tiki Taka, Technical, Flair, First Touch, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

I am in love with this card solely for the fact that he fits right in with my Dortmund team. Slapping a Hunter on Brandt alongside his several Playstyles, notably Incisive Pass+, forms him into an immaculate CAM.

Rating: 10/10

(OBJ) Exequiel Palacios – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Long Ball Pass, Tiki Taka, Intercept, Anticipate, Slide Tackle

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

This objective is so worth it. Sure, his Pace isn’t as high as I would’ve liked it to be, but nevertheless, the stats on this version of Palacios is such a great upgrade compared to his TOTW. And with the introduction of the Tiki Taka playstyle on this card, his chance of a first touch pass failing is highly unlikely. Amazing Bundesliga DM.

Rating: 9/10

Takefusa Kubo – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: First Touch (+), Technical, Flair, Trickster

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Unlike Leao’s card, the Playstyle Plus Kubo’s been given doesn’t compensate for how mediocre of a stat boost he’s gotten. First Touch+ is great when receiving a pass in a sticky situation, but his other new Playstyle, Trickster, isn’t really an upgrade. If you have his POTM card, don’t worry, you’re not missing out on this Trailblazer version. Very disappointing overall.

Rating: 5/10

Danilo – 84:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Intercept (+), Long Ball Pass, Anticipate, Aerial

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Very decent upgrade for Danilo compared to his gold card, and with Intcerept+ in conjunction with Anticipate, decent pace, top-tier defending /physical, and great passing stats for a defender, he makes for a really great CB option.

Rating: 8/10

Lucas Martinez Quarta – 84:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Long Ball Pass, Block, Intercept, Anticipate, Slide Tackle

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Another decent Serie A CB, although not as good as Danilo. I expect he’ll be cheap due to his average pace and defending, but if you’re looking for someone affordable, then he’s your guy.

Rating: 6/10

Evander – 83:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Incisive Pass, Long Ball Pass, Technical, Flair, First Touch, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

I really like this card for an 83 overall. Well-rounded for a midfielder, 4/4, numerous Playstyles, Shadow chem style boosting his pace and defense massively, and offers links to other Brazilians. I suspect he’s also going to be dirt cheap, but try him out for a change, you never know.
