EA FC 24 – Triple Threat Team One Review

EA FC 24 has dropped a brand new promo this week with some exciting players added to the lineup! As always, we will breakdown each card’s in-game stats and rate it based on cost, usability, and how fun of a card it is!

Triple Threat Team One Review

(SBC) Ashleigh Neville – 88:

Cost: ~19k

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Power Header, Whipped Pass, Rapid, Jockey, Anticipate, Slide Tackle, Relentless

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Very good defensive stats, and overall a good looking fullback. She offers some great links as well, being English and in the Spurs NWSL, has several Playstyles, and only requires 1 squad to complete! I personally wouldn’t complete her, but if you’re a Spurs fan or love her as a player, then she’s definitely worth doing.

Rating: 8/10

Sakina Karchaoui – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Quick Step (+), Whipped Pass, Technical, Jockey, Block, Anticipate, Relentless

Preferred Chem Style: Anchor

She’s an insane LB. Judging from her previous cards, I expect this version to be a beast as well. Very low on strength, but her dribbling and defending make up for it. Not just that, but she has all the great defensive Playstyles for a defender, which is just unreal.

Rating: 10/10

Jack Grealish – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Finesse Shot (+), Technical, Flair, First Touch, Press Proven

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

A great card! Finishing is average, but the Finesse Shot+ should compensate for that. Passing and dribbling are top-tier, nice pace for a winger, +1 WF upgrade, and great Playstyles. What more can you ask for?

Rating: 9/10

(OBJ) James Maddison – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Long Ball Pass (+), Incisive Pass, Flair, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

As always with objectives, it’s best to do them regardless of whether you want the card or not; you either put him in your team or just use him as fodder, it’s a win-win situation. As with his in-game stats, pace is average, but other than that, I’m in love with it; a very De Bruyne-like card. Great Playstyles as well!

Conclusion: He’s worth it!

Rating: 9/10

Delphine Cascarino – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/3*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Quick Step (+), Technical, Flair, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Deadeye

Although she lacks in finishing, pace has always been the meta these past FIFA’s/EAFC’s and for that specific reason, this card is insane. That combined with her dribbling and Playstyles makes her untouchable on the pitch.

Rating: 9/10

Thiago – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: First Touch (+), Pinged Pass, Tiki Taka, Technical, Flair, Slide Tackle, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter as a CAM, Shadow as a CDM

Huge pace boost on Thiago, which makes this card very useable as a box-to-box midfielder. His perfect passing and dribbling alongside the numerous Playstyles he has just makes this card a huge threat on the field.

Rating: 8/10

Alex Greenwood 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 2*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Block (+), Long Ball Pass, Jockey, Aerial

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Solid defensive stats, but unfortunately, she’s a bit short for a CB, which makes her a bit of a liability in your backline. Aside from that, she has amazing passing and dribbling for a defender, and great Playstyles to go with that. However, she’s just not going to be good in-game, solely for her height.

Rating: 6/10

Carvajal – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Slide Tackle (+), Whipped Pass, Block, Anticipate

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Another solid fullback, and yet another option for Real Madrid/Spain teams. Nice dribbling, great defensive stats in the right areas, and very nice Playstyles for a defender.

Rating: 8/10

Fran Kirby – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Finesse Shot, Technical, Flair, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Really loving the stats she has. Perfect dribbling, great shooting, solid pace, and decent passing, alongside great Playstyles! Her strength and stamina may be lacking, but other than that, there is nothing wrong with this card.

Rating: 8/10

Presnel Kimpembe – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 2*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Bruiser (+), Power Header, Block, Intercept, Relentless, Aerial

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Now this is what you call a CB. Insane defending and physicality, and the pace is up there as well, which all check the boxes for a meta defender. Perfect Playstyles and the links he provides is just a bonus to this card.

Rating: 10/10

Conor Gallagher – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Relentless (+), Incisive Pass, Press Proven, Jockey, Intercept

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Very well-rounded, and great Playstyles as well! Dribbling is a bit heavy, and passing could be improved a bit more, but other than that, he’s a solid option for a box-to-box midfielder. 99 stamina, solid defending in the right places, and great shooting!

Rating: 7/10

Athenea – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/5*

Work Rate: High/Low

Playstyles: Technical, Flair, First Touch, Trickster

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Honestly, this card is a bit “meh”. Dribbling is a bit heavy, horrible long passing, and very average shooting, especially with the 79 shot power. 4*/5* is amazing and she has the right Playstyles, but other than that, there is no “wow” factor about her.

Rating: 6/10

Maxence Caqueret – 84:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Incisive Pass, Pinged Pass, Press Proven, Relentless, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

This card looks amazing as an 84-rated CDM. Unfortunately, he doesn’t have any defensive Playstyles to boost his presence on the pitch, but his stats definitely make up for it. Top-tier dribbling, great short/long passing, amazing defensive stats, and 99 stamina. Wow.

Rating: 8/10

Leanne Kiernan – 84:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: High/Low

Playstyles: Chip Shot, Technical, Rapid, Flair

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

If you don’t mind the 3* SM, she looks great purely as a Striker. Top-tier pace, shooting, and dribbling. My only issue is her composure and lack of links, but otherwise, this looks like a decent card!

Rating: 8/10

Triple Threat Heroes Team 1 Review

David Ginola – 90:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/5*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Technical (+), Power Shot, Flair, First Touch, Quick Step

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Not much to say about Ginola; he’s been meta ever since his first Hero card was released, but this version is just beautiful.

Rating: 10/10

Fernando Morientes – 90:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Aerial (+), Chip Shot, Power Header, First Touch

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

This card is so good, similar to the likes of Lewandowski. Beautiful shooting, great pace, insane physicals, and great dribbling aside agility/balance. Playstyles aren’t the best, but his stats make up for it.

Rating: 8/10

Yaya Toure – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Press Proven (+), Finesse Shot, Power Shot, Incisive Pass, Flair, Bruiser, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

4*/4* with those stats is absolutely mind-blowing. He’s just one of those cards that’s just going to be hard to pack. However, if you do somehow get your hands on him, then hats off to you.

Rating: 10/10

Joe Cole – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Quick Step (+), Incisive Pass, Technical, Flair, First Touch, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Deadeye

A complete winger, my gosh. There is no downsides to this card, at all.

Rating: 10/10

(SBC) Ledley King – 87:

Cost: ~402k

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 2*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Anticipate(+), Jockey, Block, Bruiser

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

I’d personally save my fodder instead of completing this. This card is good, don’t get me wrong, but there are several other lower-value CB’s that can compete with King. If you like him as a player or use him in your Spurs Past and Present, then go for it. For everyone else, he’s not worth it.

Rating: 7/10

Sidney Govou – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/3*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Power Shot (+), Pinged Pass, Rapid, Quick Step

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Insane stats for a Striker, and I legitimately mean it. 90+ in pace, shooting, AND dribbling? Not only that, but his dribbling is great and he has great Playstyles. I personally am going to try him out this Weekend League and I expect him to be a cracking goal-scorer for my team.

Rating: 10/10

Dirk Kuyt – 87

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Aerial (+), Power Header, Whipped Pass, Jockey, Block, Relentless

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

The switch as a midfielder to a winger is a bit of a let-down, but the boost to this version makes up for it immensely. You could now play him on the pitch either as a winger or a box-to-box midfielder, giving you options, which is great.
