Road to the Knockouts Team 2 Review in EA FC 24

Road to the Knockouts Team 2 has come out this week in EA FC 24 and it looks incredible! Today, we’ll take a look at each of these amazing cards and analyze them based on cost and usability.

UCL Road to the Knockouts Review

Robert Lewandowski – 92:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Power Header (+), Finesse Shot, Chip Shot, Power Shot, Incisive Pass, First Touch, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Engine

What a well-rounded card for a Striker! Although his pace is a bit average, the massive variety of playstyles Lewandowski has will make him a huge threat on the field. Great dribbling, good passing for a striker, and top-tier pace – He’s insane.

Rating: 10/10

Luka Modric – 91:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Trivela (+), Incisive Pass, Long Ball Pass, Whipped Pass, Technical

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

A perfect box-to-box midfielder. The combination of elite passing and dribbling that Modric has will make him an annoyance to deal with. In addition to the Shadow chem style, the boosted Pace and Defense puts him up there for the top CM’s in-game.

Rating: 10/10

Ousmane Dembele – 89:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/5*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Rapid (+), Flair, Trickster, Quick Step

Preferred Chem Style: Finisher

Do I need to say much about Dembele? I own his gold card and he’s been my best player on the field. I expect his RTTK version to be way better. Adding a Finisher chem style boosts his Shot and Dribbing massively, making him a nuisance to deal with on the pitch. He checks all the boxes for an ideal winger; what more could you ask for?

Rating: 10/10

Angel Di Maria – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 5*/3*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Trickster (+), Finesse Shot, Chip Shot, Incisive Pass, Technical, Flair, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

This card is beautiful in every way. The only downside? I personally don’t see any, unless you think his lack of links and being 3* WF is weighing him down. Overlooking that, however, high Passing and Dribbling is crazy enough, and slapping a Hunter on him boosts all the needed stats for a winger to 90+.

Rating: 10/10

Marcos Acuna – 88:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/3*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Power Shot, Long Ball Pass, Anticipate, Bruiser, Flair, Relentless, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

The versatility this card has, being able to play in the midfield or as a fullback, is perfect. Ideally you’d want to play him in the midfield, but it all depends on what your playstyle is. Adding a Shadow chem style to him boosts his Pace and Defense, making him another great box-to-box midfielder who’s able to move smooth with the ball.

Rating: 9/10

(OBJ) Matteo Darmian – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/5*

Work Rate: Medium/Medium

Playstyles: Jockey

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

This objective is definitely a must-do. Not only can you play him as a CB, but giving him the ability to play in the midfield with those stats is insane. He’s also FREE! Even if he doesn’t fit your team or you just dislike the card, he’s good fodder!

Rating: 10/10

Pepe – 84

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 2*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: Jockey, Anticipate, Slide Tackle, Bruiser, Aerial

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

Another great defender in this week’s promo. The stats are great albeit the lack of links, and adding a Shadow chem style to boost his Pace and Defending up makes this card sick.

Rating: 8/10

Sergino Dest – 83

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Low

Playstyles: Flair

Preferred Chem Style: Anchor

This card is great for a fullback, but his league and nation makes him very difficult to link. Adding an Anchor chem style to boost his Pace, Defense and Physical is exactly what you need for a fullback of this caliber.

Rating: 8/10

UECL Road to the Knockouts Review

(SBC) Jonathan David – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/5*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Quick Step, Relentless, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Finisher

The estimated cost for this card is ~151k. Personally, I think he’s amazing value. Sure, 3* SM is a let-down, but if you’re using him purely for those get in behind runs, he’s the guy for you. In addition with the Finisher chem style, his acceleRATE becomes Controlled Explosive, giving him that extra boost with his first touch. That combined with the Quick Step playstyle makes him a dangerous player to deal with in the final third.

Rating: 10/10

Daniel Amartey – 83:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*

Work Rate: Medium/High

Playstyles: N/A

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

He’s a pretty decent card, and if you’re building a Super Lig team with Mertens and the other Squad Foundations cards, he’s definitely someone you’d want to pick up – A solid defender with great Defense and Physical, and with the Shadow chem style boosting his Pace and Defense stats, he’s going to be hard to get through.

Rating: 8/10

Jordy Clasie – 83:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/4*

Work Rate: Low/Medium

Playstyles: Incisive Pass, Long Ball Pass, Intercept, Press Proven

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

This card’s a bit underwhelming. Yet another defender, but it’s a lot worse compared to all the others from this week’s promo. Adding a Shadow chem style to boost his Pace and Defense is ideal, but even with that, the card is still missing the ‘oomph’ factor.

Rating: 6/10

UEL Road to the Knockouts Review

Joao Pedro – 87:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: High/Medium

Playstyles: Rapid

Preferred Chem Style: Hunter

Another Brazilian beast, wow. This card getting boosted from a 73 to an 87 is crazy, but we’re definitely not complaining. Adding a Hunter chem style to Pedro and BAM, top-tier striker right there. Insane Pace and Shooting, and great Dribbling is going to make him a menace on the field.

Rating: 10/10

Ibrahim Cissoko – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/4*

Work Rate: Medium/Low

Playstyles: Technical, Flair

Preferred Chem Style: Deadeye

Yet another insane UEL card. Slapping a Deadeye on him and boosting his Shot and Passing, and combining that with his base Pace and Dribbling? Yep, that’s a top Ligue 1 winger right there. Composure is a bit low (74), but who cares if all the other in-game stats are perfect?

Rating: 9/10

Houssem Aouar – 86:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 4*/3*

Work Rate: High/Low

Playstyles: Technical, Flair, Trivela

Preferred Chem Style: Shadow

One of my favorite cards to use from previous games is back, and oh my gosh does he look juicy with that base Passing and Dribbling. Pace and Shooting is pretty average, but still, he’s a great option for a box-to-box midfielder and in addition with the Shadow chem style, he’ll definitely have the defensive capabilities to stop most players.

Rating: 8/10

Jonathan Clauss – 85:

Skill Moves/Weak Foot: 3*/3*

Work Rate: High/High

Playstyles: Whipped Pass, Anticipate, Relentless, Long Throw

Preferred Chem Style: Anchor

Yet another defender, but Clauss is different from the others. He’s definitely a meta card, and with the ability to play as a midfielder as well, he’s just someone you can’t miss out on. Adding an Anchor chem style to him boosts his Pace, Defense, and Physical up, making him the ideal fullback.
